Harsh weathers, natural disasters, man-made crisis, sectarian conflicts or wars are the worst that human kinds have faced and they suffer greatly from these situations. During or after any calamity there is a severe need of a lot of things that could make the life of the victim's easy.
Talking about the items that are needed in situations like these, they are uncountable and can be of any shape and size. But below are those non-food items that can cater to all age groups from infants to old people of both the genders in the times of need. Just read below,
For Infants and toddlers:-
Things that are needed for small and new born babies include diapers, feeders, anti-rash ointment, small toys and pacifiers, wipes and clothes for the current weather.
Old age people:-
Medications, hearing aid or glasses, cane, support or crutches and suitable footwear are the things that are a must for senior people. In addition any social security cards, Medicare facility cards must also be kept in water and fire proof bags.
Multipurpose tools:-
These tools are also known as survival tools and are useful for any group of people; these include hammer, a medium sized saw, tools like Swiss army knife, dust masks, light weight plastic tarpaulins, batteries, torch or lantern, matches, lighters, pliers, screw drivers, wrench, plastic ties and big garbage bags.
First aid box:-
Preparing a first aid box is must do thing in any crisis situation and these things must be included in it gauze pads and bandages, antiseptic liquid or cream, scissors, hand wipes (disposable), thermometer, gloves, pain killers, ibuprofen or brufen and inhaler if someone is a patient of asthma.
Cooking utensils:-
Preparing for the worst times also forces the people to keep with them the necessary and commonly used utensils, these include paper plates and cups, can openers, glasses, aluminum foil, knives, spoons and zip lock bags, etc.
Sanitary necessities:-
Things that are included for personal care or sanitary uses include towels, soaps or hand sanitizers, toothbrush and paste, razors and blades, toilet paper, sanitary napkins for women, pocket tissues and shampoos etc.
Other non-food items that must be kept include cash, mobile chargers, sewing kit, a small generator of solar powered panel if available and easy to carry, extra set of house and vehicle keys, etc.




The situation of displaced people cannot be explained in its true sense. Just think what if somebody takes away the ground under your feet. The snapshots of the ground realities gives a different picture. Each catastrophe is different in extent and scope and the products to be provisioned has to adhere to the special requirements.
